The DAX closed about 0.4% higher at 25,027 on Thursday, its strongest finish since early June and the sixth consecutive session of gains. Market sentiment was buoyed by optimism over the newly signed US–Iran agreement, which more than offset the impact of hawkish remarks from incoming Fed Chair Kevin Warsh.

The United States formally signed an interim accord with Iran that is seen as a key step toward ending the conflict in the Middle East and reopening major energy export routes. In response, oil prices retreated, easing investors’ inflation concerns.

Tech, industrial, and travel stocks led the advance. Infineon Technologies was the standout performer, jumping 6.4%. Siemens Energy climbed 4.5% after reports that it is weighing the sale of its multi-billion-euro compressor and steam turbine division. Airline Lufthansa also posted solid gains, rising 3.2%. By contrast, automakers and software stocks came under significant selling pressure.
