03.08.202613:00:00UTC+00Singapore Manufacturing Momentum Edges Higher as July PMI Hits 51.4

Singapore’s manufacturing sector extended its expansionary run in July, with the S&P Global Manufacturing PMI inching up to 51.4 from 51.3 in June 2026, according to data updated on 3 August 2026.

While the rise is marginal, the move keeps the index comfortably above the 50-point threshold that separates expansion from contraction, signaling continued, if modest, improvement in operating conditions. The July reading suggests that Singapore’s factories are sustaining growth momentum into the second half of 2026, building slightly on the gains registered in June.

The latest PMI print may reassure observers that manufacturing activity remains resilient despite a challenging global backdrop, with the sector still on an expansionary footing for Singapore’s economy.
