The consumer confidence indicator in Slovenia rose by 7 points in June 2026, reaching -20 from -28 in May. This was the highest reading since August 2021, reflecting a reduction in household pessimism about the economy and personal finances. Households were less negative about the general economic outlook for the next 12 months (-20 vs -35 in May) and about their own financial situation over the same period (-10 vs -19). Views also improved regarding households’ financial situation over the past year (-17 vs -20) and the general economic situation over the past 12 months (-39 vs -43). In addition, expectations for major purchases in the next year became less negative (-32 vs -35), as did assessments of current conditions for major purchases (-25 vs -31). Finally, households were also somewhat less pessimistic about their savings prospects for the next 12 months (-17 vs -21).
