Frankfurt’s DAX 40 slipped about 0.4% to around 25,600 on Friday, pulling back after two consecutive sessions of gains and largely mirroring weakness across other European benchmarks. Caution resurfaced in regional markets after a week dense with central-bank decisions, as investors also monitored diplomatic efforts related to the conflict in the Middle East. In focus is next week’s planned meeting between US President Trump and Gulf-state leaders on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

At the same time, oil prices extended their slide for a third straight session. Most sectors finished in the red, with telecommunications, autos, and insurers among the worst performers, while technology stocks bucked the trend and outperformed. Deutsche Telekom fell more than 3%, making it the session’s biggest decliner. Conversely, Infineon Technologies jumped 3.7% after Nvidia’s CEO delivered a bullish outlook, saying the company expects to sell twice as many chips over the next year. Other AI-related names, including Siemens Energy and Hochtief, also recorded solid gains.
