Slovenia’s producer prices rose by 2.1% year-on-year in May 2026, accelerating from a 1.4% increase in April and reaching their highest level since August 2023. The upturn was mainly driven by higher prices in manufacturing (2.2% vs 1.5% in April), mining and quarrying (12.7% vs 10.1%), and electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (0.1% vs -0.3%).

By main industrial group, costs increased for intermediate goods (2.3% vs 1.8%), capital goods (2.0% vs 1.1%), and consumer goods (1.9% vs 1.4%), while energy prices rebounded (2.3% vs -0.8%). On a monthly basis, producer prices advanced by 0.7% in May, after a 0.5% rise in April.
