In October 2025, consumer prices in Argentina experienced a month-on-month rise of 2.3%, following a 2.1% increase in September, slightly surpassing the forecasted 2.2%. Notably, price inflation was observed in sectors such as transportation, which climbed to 3.5% from 3.0% in September, and clothing and footwear with an increase to 2.4% from 2.1%. Recreation and culture saw prices go up by 1.6%, compared to 1.3% the previous month, while restaurants and hotels recorded a 2.2% uptick, up from 1.1%. Additionally, alcoholic beverages and tobacco prices rose to 2.4% from 1.6%, with other goods and services also experiencing a 2.4% rise compared to 2.1% earlier. Conversely, there was a deceleration in price growth for education, which slowed to 1.7% from 3.1%, and health, which decreased to 1.8% from 2.3%. Housing and utilities, too, saw a reduced increase of 2.8% from 3.1%, while communication remained steady at 2.2%. Home equipment and maintenance growth slowed slightly to 1.6% from 1.8%. The rise in food and non-alcoholic beverage prices increased to 2.3% from 1.9%. On a year-on-year basis, there was a 31.3% increase in consumer prices, reflecting a continuation of the disinflation trend and marking the smallest rise since July 2018, down from 31.8% in September.
